My Weekend with Sally

My Weekend with Sally
by: Rob Dimension

When you are asked, "Hey Rob, do you mind if we give you a Chainsaw enema?", what really, is the right response? My response, after being asked by Forbidden Pictures Head Mastermind, JimmyO, was simply...."Yes Sir".

Forbidden Pictures are the people behind the amazing popular web series, Chainsaw Sally, that stars JimmyO's lovely Wife, April Monique Burril as the lead. Sprinkle in people like Debbie Rochon and oh, lala we have ourselves some serious "too hot for TV" stuff. The Chainsaw Sally show is everything that Horror fans want and love...Blood, Boobs and fun.

Librarian by day, Sally sets out with her brother Ruby to rid the town of Portville of the scum....mix in some hot chicks, funny punch lines and an array of characters and you have this perfect blend! Now that I have been to Porterville, I can truly say it's like Disneyland for Horror geeks like myself!

I was fortunate, I'm assuming due to JimmyO being extremely drunk one night, to be asked to be a cast member for Season 2 of the Chainsaw Sally Show. My character is Roving Reporter for the Baltimore News Team...Dirk Buttwise...yes, you read that correctly, Dirk Buttwise. Seeing the writing on the wall that I was going to be given a somewhat fun, goofy role, I was more than eager...then the "oh, by the way...Sally will be giving you a Chainsaw Enema" line shortly followed...after laughing out loud...I was all aboard for the craziness express.

So, without giving away every little detail...Dirk gets a bit too nosey and happens to be in the wrong place (the Woods) at the wrong time (when Sally is near) and next thing I know...I'm on the ground, Sally straddling me..while in a very un-manly way, I beg for forgiveness and simply think she should "let me go". Sally is not a big fan of Dirk...but likes his ass...well, in a  way where something is missing from it...A CHAINSAW!!! Poor Dirk dies in such unique way that Horror fans should really enjoy and will hopefully remember.

Back to reality, I figure since I just gave you a bit of a run down I wanted to talk more about the Behind the Scenes (yes..an ass Pun). At first the weekend was a bit in jeopardy due to an extreme heatwave the East Coast was dealing with, with a projected Heat Index of 115 we pushed things back to wait for the heat to break, even a bit. I got the call that production was moving forward, needless to say, I was very excited.

The heat by the time I arrived in Porterville was still a whooping 110 degrees, but I think everyone, even though we just sweat profusely, was happy with the final outcome. We arrive at the location, and I notice that the crew is stabbing at the wooded/High grass area...so I ask "what are you guys doing?", JimmyO quickly responds with "Checking for snakes"....I'm sorry..what?? After being consoled (I openly wept), April and myself went over our dialogue while the crew was blocking the shots...a few rehearsals and we were in the thick of the action.

Now, as excited as I was to have April, who was now sweaty and showing much cleavage sitting on my chest, keep in mind, her Husband is standing above me, it's 100+ degrees and I am still looking for snakes in my peripherals. Once the Special Effects came out...I could not help but smile. I have NEVER seen or (heard) so much blood on set EVER...from sprayers, to blood blasts, to guts, to anything that would be inside my ass was unleashed onto poor April.

Let me say this - JimmyO, April and EVERYONE I worked with and met from the Forbidden Pictures Family was the best. I can't thank them all enough...they made me feel like a old friend this weekend. They constantly checked on me, made everyone feel at home and were just off the charts....and as far as I'm concerned...I am at their beckon call..seriously. I can not stress enough to people, these guys are serious about what they do, they care...they are not just talking about it..they are DOING it and getting results!!

chai

I am eager to hear what people have to say about little ole' Dirk Buttwise once the Season kicks off, which I believe will be sometime in August. This season has Debbie Rochon, Monique Dupree and plenty of other hotties...

Also, look for The Good Sisters and Silver Scream releases plus plenty of T Shirts, pictures and bumper stickers!!!

Blood Bath 2 Film Festival - November 13th & 14th

Blood Bath 2 Film Festival

DOA Blood Bath Entertainment proudly announces Blood Bath 2: The Film Festival at the historic Texas Theater in Dallas, Texas on November 13th and 14th, 2010.  The film festival is a celebration of independent horror cinema showcasing feature and short films from around the world.

The festival is the world premiere for the feature films, KODIE and THE SUPER and the American premiere of feature film FELL.

KODIE, filmed locally in Dallas by Abel Berry and Jennifer Stone, tells the story of David, a paranormal investigator, who has come to a point in his life where everything he cares about is being ripped away in domestic turmoil. He soon finds himself and his team caught in a world of a murderous little girl named Kodie in the form of a teddy bear.  Many of the cast and crew will be in attendance for a Q&A following the film.

THE SUPER, directed by Brian Weaver & Evan Makrogiannis, shows us the twisted mind of George Rossi, who immigrated to the US and served in the Vietnam War and is now employed as the superintendent of a Queens apartment building. He finds himself quickly slipping into a depraved world that is fueled by the tenants of the building.  It does no good to lock your doors because The Super has the keys.  The producer and directors of THE SUPER will be in attendance.

FELL, directed by Marcus Koch and starring Jeff  Dylan Graham, "is a challenging, relentless exploration of psychological turmoil, the fragility of the human mind and a startling depiction of tragic mental breakdown that evokes memories of Polanski’s Repulsion”, says James Gracey, ‘Behind the Couch’.  Marcus Koch and Jeff Dylan Graham will be in attendance.

Other feature-length selections include Houston filmmaker Mel House’s WALKING DISTANCE, which recently world premiered at the Dallas International Film Festival and marks the return of Adrienne King (FRIDAY THE 13TH) to film; Canadian twins Jen and Sylvia Soska’s DEAD HOOKER IN A TRUNK, which has become an underground cult fan favorite while winning many awards at festivals all around the world; and Adam Minarovich's EXHIBIT A-7, which won the XRISTOS Award for the Best Guerilla Film at the Action On Film International Film Festival and stars Robert Pralgo (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES)..

Featured short films include BY HER HAND SHE DRAWS YOU DOWN, WAFFLE, THE WRITER, SCREAM QUEEN, LIP STICK, READY TEDDY, THE GUEST, DISPATCH, BITS AND PIECES, and RED AND THE WOLF. Also included in the line up will be the top 9 short films from the recent “make a short film in a weekend competition” Splatterfest in Houston.

Debbie Rochon (COLOUR FROM THE DARK, WALKING DISTANCE), Reggie Bannister (PHANTASM, WALKING DISTANCE), and many other actors and filmmakers will be in attendance at the screenings, and audiences are encouraged to participate in the Q&A panels as well as cast their votes on their favorite films. An awards ceremony will take place on Sunday.

The festival will run all day on Saturday and Sunday, with an after party on Saturday night at the local bar Muddy Waters with special musical guests Jack O’Hara Harris, The Lash Outs, and The Whiskey Folk Ramblers starting at 10 PM. Tickets are $7 per feature-length film, $15 per day, or $25 for the weekend. They will be available for advance sales online or at the door.

For out-of-town attendees, the official hotel of the festival is the Belmont Hotel (www.belmontdallas.com), with special room rates starting at $79 and a free shuttle to transport guests from the hotel to the Texas Theater.

Tickets, trailers of the films, and more information can be found at doabloodbath.com.

Season's Beatings is a wrap...info on the Chainsaw Sally Episode

Season's Beatings is wrapped!!

What a weekend....we finished shooting with the Chainsaw Sally, Miss Busy Bee and JimmyO on Saturday night and I think we were all extremely excited on what we had created. Let's give you guys a synopsis of what the story is about and what film we are going to show:

The feature of the evening for this episode will be JimmyO's Silver Scream, if you are unfamiliar with this title, it was an original musical stage show that became a film. Silver Scream pays homage to classic horror and fits our show perfect. Keep in mind, this will be a cut version, we highly recommend visiting www.forbiddenpictures.net and pick up the complete film.

Synopsis for the show : John (John Cannon) is frantic about his upcoming evaluation from Hotel Management. Mr. Natas (Jimmy O Burril) is due in any minute and John has given Pigamortis (Sal Valente) and Dimension (Rob Dimension) the week off because they are always causing trouble.

The hotel has a special guest, Librarian Sally (April Monique Burril) having a temporary lay over at the hotel, but things don't seem how they are. Dimension and Pigamortis make a surprise appearance, to try to help John out.....this is where things go down hill. Dimension and Pigamortis figure out that the Librarian is really Chainsaw Sally along with Miss Busy Bee (Nicolette La Faye) and must now get rid of her, until Sally threatens them...with DEATH!!!

Will John be driven crazy with this madness? Will Mr. Natas get a glimpse of what is really going on? Will Chainsaw Sally and Miss Busy Bee KILL Dimension and Pigamortis???

Big Weekend for the Late Night crew - Chainsaw Crazed Babe on the set!

Late Night at the Horror Hotel gets "Chainsaw Sally CRAZY!!!"

Easily, the blueprint for Independent success, with the most notorious, popular Horror show on the Internet, Chainsaw Sally comes to the Late Night set this Saturday for our special "Season's Beating's" holiday show.

April Monique Burril, aka.Chainsaw Sally, along with Independent Writer and Director (Chainsaw Sally, the Good Sisters and Silver Scream) JimmyO Burril plus a few surprises are doing us a great favor by appearing on our show. This show, unlike the rest will be available on the net once completed. We may also make this show available for download, plus the feature film we are showing is JimmyO's musical "Silver Scream".

Rob Dimension had this to say "Usually our show is more of a PG type show, but this one....gonna be a little more gritty." John Cannon added, "There is a good chance many of our TV stations will not carry this one....It might be an example of our growth or an example of our demise." Sounds like a blast to me, we can't wait to see the final product.

This is a great opportunity for the producers, Sickening Thud to show their talents also. Pigamortis Wrex was quick to speak, "Look, we are here to entertain....We are hoping to introduce special new character as well, we are really starting to hit our stride. The show is growing, the site is growing and we are expanding...it's gonna be a great ride!"

This weekend, you can also catch the Dynamic Trio in Saylorsburg, PA at the Hotel of Horror/Altered Nightmares, they will be out front, most likely Heckling people before and after they go into, what we feel, one of the best attractions in our Area. Visit www.hotelofhorror.com for details and directions.

HUGE Announcement - Chainsaw Sally comes to Late Night at the Horror Hotel in NOVEMBER!!!!

Chainsaw Sally coming to Late Night at the Horror Hotel in NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!

This announcement is HUGE for us!!!!

April Monique Burril and JimmyO Burril have said they would "LOVE to Slay Late Night!!!" This past Saturday, a deal was struck and we are extremely excited to have such a fantastic team of the Horror genre on board. As of today, it is for only 1 episode, but the door will ALWAYS be open for more!!

So, you might ask yourself...who is Chainsaw Sally? First, I would ask what rock you lived under (then might beat you with it), then I would proceed to tell you that Chainsaw Sally (Burril), is an iconic underground sensation within the Horror community for the past several years. Mixing Humor with Gore, Chainsaw Sally has been featured in Film, TV and TONS of magazines and websites around the World. Most recently, the 1st season of The Chainsaw Sally Show was picked up by Troma Films and is set for release September 28th!!!

JimmyO Burril, the creative Horror Mastermind behind films like Chainsaw Sally, Silverscream and most recently, The Good Sisters staring both April Monique Burril and Debbie Rochon, had this to say "We would love too, we watch everything you guys put out and it's top notch stuff. We are really looking forward to it!"

At MonsterMania 16 in Hunt Valley Maryland, Rob Dimension who had just come off stage, hosting the Q&A with Robert Englund was bouncing off the walls with excitement when asked about Chainsaw Sally, saying "We are so friggin excited, seriously. We had been talking with them for a while and it is finally coming together. We are going to follow their formula, April will be Chainsaw Sally on our show...as many know, our show has a sub-plot on every episode. While we do host a film, we plan on going above and beyond for this one!!"

Visit Chainsaw Sally

I guess the next question is...will the airwaves be able to handle this one???

Late Night checks out the Good Sisters (movie review)

The Good Sisters Movie Review

A few weeks ago, the guys at Late Night at the Horror Hotel had a chance to sit and watch "The Good Sisters" from Forbidden Pictures. Here is the video review and below is the written review from Rob Dimension. Enjoy and make sure you visit www.ForbiddenPictures.net for more info. This DVD hits shelves on April 27 - so don't wait!!

A movie that involves Witchcraft and hot chicks usually is a must watch for me. Throw in April Monique Burril and Debbie Rochon and it's now mandatory to see. I was sent the new JimmyO Burril film, The Good Sisters to review, here are my thoughts -

The Good Sisters Synopsis - Breanne Good (Debbie Rochon, TROMEO AND JULIET) and Kindra Good (April Monique Burril, CHAINSAW SALLY) are sisters with a secret life -- practioners of witchcraft, glamours, and black magick. Fiercely protective of their privacy, craft, and ancient bloodline, they become suspicious of their new neighbor Daniel (David Calhoun, CHAINSAW SALLY) who also leads a life shrouded in mystery. Unsure if he is unnaturally obsessed with them - or if they are only being paranoid -- the Good Sisters will have to draw all their power about them as it becomes clear their ages-old battle of good versus evil, light versus dark, freedom versus oppression may be about to begin again. Which leaves the question ... who is being Good, and who is not?

In the beginning of viewing, I was wondering what was going on since you have two sisters who are Witches, the most nosiest of neighbors and a bizarre downstairs neighbor that wears rubber gloves, doesn't have any furniture and is obsessed with the "sisters upstairs". Quickly, the story begins to unfold, but you are unsure if what you are watching is reality or paranoia within the girls minds.

I will not spoil the movie for anyone, but I will say I enjoyed the film. Rochon's character, Breanne Good, really controls the first 2 acts and seems like the more sane of the two, the dominant. She is very comfortable within the role and plays the part of a witch, fantastic.

Burril, playing Kindra Good, really comes into her own in the last act of the film. The normal, psycho crazy character that we are used to seeing her play (ok, did I get over the point that see comes off nutty?...lol), just makes the ending that much stronger.

I would love to see these two back in a film together but on opposite sides, I feel that Rochon has helped Burril grow as an actress and they almost feed off of each other. They have great chemistry on screen.

JimmyO has stepped up in this film also. He has grown as a director and writer, at least since Chainsaw Sally (I liked the film but can tell that both JimmyO and April are both seasoned now). The use of shadows, color, subtle music and atmosphere all bring this film together. Trick camera work also helps add to the paranormal aspect to the movie. I look forward to more from JimmyO in the future.

In closing, I would recommend this film. The Good Sisters is a clean, glossy finished film that is a step higher than most Independent films out right now. They prove that little gore, good casting and a decent story can make a fun film. Looking forward to the next project!
