As we get closer to December 28th, I can't help but feel excited, nervous and maybe have a small, evil grin. I wanted to catch people up on how things are looking.

We will be announcing venues to see No Clowning Around shortly. Once again, thank you too everyone for your support, thank you to the cast and crew for putting so much effort into something and for believing in my dream. Hard too believe it's almost time.

“…you can give in to depression or fight back”

Those are the words that I feel best can describe my battle with depression. About six months ago, I looked in the mirror and decided to make a change. My life was in a downward spiral and from that experience came; “No Clowning Around”. We can never win the battle against depression but, I believe, we can look into its eyes and face it, head on.

“No Clowning Around” is a Horror short film based on one man’s fall from grace. Ed, who once was beloved by his hometown as Mumbles the Clown, is now a party clown who battles depression and addiction. His last shed of light in his life is Trixie, who has struggles of her own. Being pushed from all sides, who and what will stop the endless spiral of sadness?

How did this come about?

Some might know me from Late Night at the Horror Hotel, Pro Wrestling, Monster-Mania Radio or the Extreme Odd Couple Podcast, but I really feel I developed the creative bug from reviewing movies. I’ve always loved the horror genre but I felt I wanted to be a bigger part of it. When you review movies, you expose other’s vulnerability but now, I’m the vulnerable one.

The last year I’ve learned that exposing my life can have a good affect on others. I had a rough battle with depression about a years and a half ago. Maybe it was my mid-life crisis, but home life was bad, I had no direction and from that, came this film project.

The film is personal for me, even though it’s extreme in relations, it’s still has plenty of metaphors to my own life. The process only took me about two days to write and once on paper; I knew this was the movie I wanted to make.

What is this NOT?

I'm glad you asked...this is NOT a Killer Clown movie. I've wanted people to know that from the start. There are plenty of Killer Clown films out there...like 100 Tears, Fear of Clowns, Killer Klowns from Outer Space or even Killjoy. While Ed is a clown, that's not the story. The story is about being pushed...and finally having a breaking point. Sometimes when your back is against the wall, you have no choice.

How did you chose who is involved?

I wrote about a 15 page treatment, kind of like a sketched out script, but just the basics. The first person I showed was my Wife, Kim. Kim and I have been together for over 21 years and it was important for me to make her the Trixie character. Once you see the film and I can relate the two, you will see why. She rehearsed countless days and worked very hard, it paid off.

The next person I wanted involved was Steve Corino. Corino is easily my best friend, from offering me a place to stay, to always being there when times were tough. We both helped each other during rough times..you know how misery needs company sometimes? Well, he’s my misery partner. The role of Lenny was his as soon as it was written. He took it extremely serious and made sure he was not the typical “wrestler in a movie” role. He’s believable.

Matthew Burd was the next choice, since his work on Late Night at the Horror Hotel; he proved his artistic vision to me on that project. I sent him the story and he wrote the screenplay and I could see the movie from his expressive script, I loved it immediately. Matt has included myself in several of his previous short films including Cuts Right Over that is making the rounds on some film festivals now. Matt and I worked great together and we each had ideas and it made for a smoother shoot. Very happy he wanted to be a part of it.

Sal Valente was a later addition to the project. I sent him the script and he loved it. Some will know Sal from his work as Pigamortis from our show. We have good chemistry, he’s funny and I knew he dug the project so it made perfect sense to have him aboard.

What can we expect?

We are aiming for a December release. It will be available on DVD, plus we will have a Limited to 50 VHS release. I will be focusing on Film Festivals and trying to have as many eyes on this project as possible. Debating on how well this is received, will lay out the future. Ideas are about a feature or a possible sequel short for “Mumbles”. I think that the character has enough oddity and is relatable to many that he has some likeability and a future.

I really want to thank those that have helped donate to make this possible. You truly made a boyhood dream come to reality. I also want to thank those that helped, our crew, those who offered advice and those who listened to me complain. It was a long four days, being on set for sixty hours, but I know it will be worth it. I’m proud of this.

As I sit here today at 7:50am on a fall like Friday, I feel accomplished. Halloween II is playing in the background, my favorite time of year has finally arrived. I wanted to continue updating everyone with the progress of No Clowning Around....well, as of Tuesday night, September 18th at approx 9:56pm, we have wrapped on the film. So, what's next? The editing process...so stay tuned for a trailer...soon.

Sunday Sept 16th - Like the days before, we get to location at 8am and I start the make up process. I think I have it down to about 45 minutes or so now. The hardest part is knowing I will have to put on the make up, remove it, then put it on again...it really kills your skin.

The weather was fantastic, this worked out perfectly and allowed us to finish shooting the entire day outside. As you can see by the picture on the left, not everyone will enjoy this movie...the longer we shot this film the more we, most of the cast and crew, started to wonder what we were making...haha.

Matt (Co-Director, Matthew Burd) and myself just worked flawless together. We had a great idea of what we wanted to shoot, how we wanted to shoot it and we were flowing. Like I mentioned before, it's hard, with a small cast, small crew as you kind of have to do everything yourselves. Matt and I have said several times, we had a great crew and we are thankful for everyone that helped bring this together.

We attracted some attention while shooting some scenes and had to deal with a few people passing by, then we had a group of neighborhood kids that I supplied all with posters, just for staying out of the way and being great. I'm always a fan of the random drunk coming up and not hesitating to get "in the shot" just to find out "what's going on?". I mean it seems like the right thing to do, when you walk into a car crashed into a building, being driven by a drunk clown...right? Exactly! haha.

This was a good day also because I had a good friend, Sal Valente on set. Some might know Sal as the man behind Pigamortis on our Tv show Late Night at the Horror Hotel, while others might know him as "Big Sal" from ECW. He was the highlight of that show for me to work with....he was focused on getting it done. I can't get into a lot of details on what Sal did for the movie except, we have real good chemistry together and he is funny as hell. Sal was a trooper and hung the entire day, which was nearly 15 hours long!!

What I really liked was as the night began to roll in...my mood changed and it was time to focus on a downward spiral of the character. As Matt shot from behind the lens, he was freaking out..."Holy shit" and "Wow" as I crept around the outside of "Lenny's" house. I really enjoyed this stuff.

Tuesday Sept 18 - Ah yes, my Birthday and the wrap day. Kim and myself we short on sleep and credit to her, she did everything asked the entire shoot and supporting me all day long. We get up at 4:30am and we are on the road by 6am.

Originally, when I scheduled this final day to be on my Birthday, I didn't take into account that I would be gone all day long and not see my kids. I felt awful when I got home at 11:30pm too see they walked in the rain 6 blocks each way to bake me a cake and I wasn't home for it. They are awesome and I love them a ton, they understand that I had to be away, but it still stinks.

Anyways, the weather on this day...AWFUL!! We have one particular scene that we needed to reshoot and it rained both times making it a little difficult. Mother Nature hates me!!

Now, let me let you in on a little something...during this scene I need to eat an 8 in round cake...and this is the Second time in a week of having to do so. As we are filming the scene, I look over at the sink and I'm debating on throwing up as I'm filled with cake...don't want anymore, don't want to see anymore...DONE...haha. Matt and the crew LOVE this scene as my grossness makes them happy. Plus, I get to wear my elephant trunk...wait until you see this! Honestly, I loved what we captured the second time around.

Moving forward to the next location, I contacted my homeboy Steve Corino, as this day would be his death scene!! Steve was fantastic this entire shoot...seriously, he had an idea of who his character was and really pulled it off..I love the guy. I'm telling you, what he had to go through scarred him for life...he sat, dealt with it and was a true professional. My hats off to him. We had to make some last minute changes to the special effect due to a timing issue, but honestly I'm extremely happy with what we got.

As Trixie, Peepers and Mumbles sat on the sofa to close out the final shot of the film, I couldn't help but smile from ear to ear...it was a wrap! As the crew started to clean Bill's house (Thanks Bill...hopefully we didn't wreck it too bad) we brought out the Its a Wrap cake (yeah, more cake!! haha) and everyone had some...yes, even me.

Dimension rebooks Nitro 2001 from XOC Podcast

As part of the "Re-booking of Nitro 2001" segment from the Extreme Odd Couple Podcast, this is my entry with the talent roster both, Steve Corino and I drafted. To listen to the segment, head to http://www.xocpodcast.com/ Episode #11.

Keep in mind, the scenario is - WCW has nothing left, ECW is about to shut down and the Independant talent was very strong. Corino and I are given the abilty to "raid" both rosters and we split via Nitro and Thunder. Corino has already released his Thunder. This would be the kick off show for Nitro.

Nitro

(Cold open) - Mike Tennay is in the ring, Welcomes everyone to the new Monday Night Nitro. While some things change, some things remain the same. On Tonight's show, WCW will crown a new Heavyweight Champion – the Championship board of directors has announced the two contenders are Diamond Dallas Page vs Booker T. That match will be tonights main event.

At this time, I would like to introduce a true Legend in WCW, a man who has a long history in this great sport. Terry Funk - Terry Funk comes out in a suit, saying how he’s happy to be home in WCW. He feels that the future is bright. This is where he belongs…He spent his last few years kissing ass up in New York but has also been helping some young, hungry hard working wrestlers in Philadelphia…that believed in their hearts that they had what it takes to become the best. (cut off)

(Cue Hennings music) Curt Henning with Mike Sanders

Curt Henning – saying that what Terry was doing in Philadelphia was far from wrestling…it was an embarrassment. Curt Henning made Professional Wrestling the perfect sport, while Terry Funk was on garbage duty. He then tells Terry…go back to the bingo hall…and retire…Funk calls Henning a Yellow Bellied Egg sucking dog….Mike Sanders sneak attacks Funk.

(Cue Music) “Man in a box” hits…here comes Tommy Dreamer running out …all 4 are fighting, Funk on Henning…but it separates into Sanders vs Dreamer…bell rings..we are underway.

Dreamer vs Sanders – (9 minutes) lots of brawling, back and forth..and weapons. Let Sanders establish he blongs and can hang with some extreme spots. Dreamer hits his “Dreamer-flow” (with the hopes that Raven would return sometime down the line) DDT, Ref counts, 1,2…Henning pulls ref out of the ring…back to 4 way brawl. Sanders and Dreamer are both bleeding…Funk pulls out a plastic bag…tries to put it over the head of Henning…Heels out of the ring…Dreamer and Funk in the ring…they hug.

Commercial break

Opening shot at someone’s legs (pans over to the duffle bag), with a duffle bag next to them…there is a mask on top. You hear, in a Mexican dialect “Time to return to my roots”…the hand grabs the mask…cut to ring.

(Camera on Announcers table) Big Sal E Graziano and Tennay are the broadcast team – Mike Tennay says that mask looks familiar. Big Sal says this music sounds familiar.

Southern Comfort vs. Whipwreck & tajiri w/ James Mitchell

(10 minutes)– Chris Hamrick & Tracy Smoothers are working their way down to the ring. Their opponents – Mikey Whipwreck vs Tajiri w/James Mitchell

Smoothers and Hamrick do chicken shit heel spots. Tajiri and Whipwreck are playing to the crowd. Hamrick does his through the 2nd rope spot. Tajiri hits the tarantula, hand spring back elbow, mist, Brainbuster on Hamrick.

Back stage, sit down interview with DDP – Page discusses what the WCW title would mean to him, very humble. Getting a late start, he loves WCW and would work hard for the people. Self high 5

Homicide vs Super crazy (6 mins)– this is early Homicide with brawling vs high flying Super crazy. Super Crazy over. After the match…Rey Mysterio (Now wearing Mask) music hits…Super Crazy is in the ring. Mysterio says he respects Super Crazy, next week…he would like to face him in a for an entry position in the Junior heavyweight championship fatal 4 way match in 3 weeks. Crazy accepts….Sal and Tennay say in 3 weeks..we will be crowning a new Junior Heavyweight, with a Fatal 4 way match….winner takes all

Lance Storm vs Christopher Daniels (20 minutes)– the announcers talk about how both are the future of this sport. Text book wrestling clinic. Back and forth match up. 20 minute draw. They say, next week…they want to go again…

Backstage sit down interview with Booker T – says, he is owed the title. He’s done his time…he has been champion before…he will be again.

The announcers say Next Week – Dreamer & Funk vs Henning & Sanders…no DQ….it will not be for the faint of heart. Big Sal says he was never a fan of Dreamer, maybe it's time for the fans to accept that Extreme is dead.

Tag Match (12 minutes)– York & Matthews vs. Shannon Moore & Shane Helms w/Jamie Noble – Moore & Helms are the heels. York & Matthews play to the crowd. Both teams are strong tag teams, utilizing tag team style moves. Helms distracts the ref, Knoble passes a chain to Moore…Moore over on York. Sal and Tennay talk about how young the tag team division is…but also how well they work well together.

Commercial

Main Event (18 minutes)–  Booker T vs. Diamond Dallas Page

Booker out first….Self high 5 hits DDP out…this match could determine the future of WCW.

DDP takes the early advantage. DDP teases for the Diamond Cutter several times, Booker is too smart. Booker cuts off with a reversal into the corner…Booker T is working the back of DDP. Booker T feels the title within his grasp…Booker heads to the top rope for his Ghetto Blaster…DDP stumbles into ropes..nuts Booker…DDP goes for the superplex…pushed off…Booker T off the top rope…DDP with a diamond cutter on Booker….1,2, Booker T gets his foot on the bottom rope..ref doesn’t see it..3. Celebration ensues…crowd goes crazy…

Sal points out the foot on the rope…we’ll see you next week.

Mooch Minute 12/24/10 Naughty or Nice?

The fat man should be doin' his thang tonight, you know...goin' from house to house, eatting your cookies and stealing wallets...what? Oh, I meant Fat Tony, yeah...Santa is coming too. Is it too late to decide if you have been naughty or nice now? Been a doucher all year? Knocked up a couple under-age girls?...ummm..yeah, me either.

I think being naughty or nice is in the eye of the wrong or good do'er. Let's speak from experience...The Mooch, well, I have been a 50/50 split. Not always doing the right thing, but never doing the wrong thing...see what I did there? All in all, it's been a great year and I always give thanks this time of year.

Big thanks goes out to John Cannon and Sal Valente, without both of these guys, nothing that has happened this year would have gotten done. I have always been a guy that doesn't forget where I came from, so for those two guys, I wish them nothing but the best..seriously.

Opportunities have come my way, but I have worked my ass off to get a lot of them. I am looking forward into 2011 and see a great future. Things I want to achieve in 2011:

• Learn the editing process more
• Write and direct a short film
• Build our Podcast to large listening fan base
• Have one of the most fun TV/Web series out
• Get more involved in the Comic industry
• Act in at least 5 films
• Perform Stand Up Comedy

Dimension had this to say “It’s basically Nerd talk 101, except we are full of shit. Like all nerds, we are under the belief that our opinion matters, when in fact…it doesn’t. "We find some things funny, that others don’t…..so I am expecting a Train wreck”, Valente quickly added.

Kim Dimension who is a new character, Demonica on the NecroCOMICon show, added “Their sense of humor is warped and twisted. They have no filter.” “They enjoy pushing the envelope when they can. This will give people a better idea of what we (Kim and I) have to deal with when shooting the Tv/Web series" says Alicia Still, who works on production and helps with publicity.

Hey guys, we wanted to give you guys the inside track to everything that is happening here at Late Night at the Horror Hotel. If you notice, we have slowed down a bit, not just on our site but, with even turning out new episodes. Many are wondering…are you guys dead? Where are you? So, let me answer:

Since March of this year (2010), Late Night at the Horror Hotel, an idea that became a TV show, reached into 23 states, showing 11 episodes, countless sketch/skit promos and making plenty of waves at Conventions and more. Quite honestly, we still felt that we are missing the bus…we want more. The question is: How do you reach more?

Sal Valente, the man behind the voice of Pigamortis and I, Rob Dimension wanted to reach a larger audience, plus incorporate more into the show. We are both, in reality, nerds…besides Horror, we like comics, gaming and science fiction. While Horror is our #1 love, we feel that currently there's a lot of talent out there in the Horror Host world and we want expand on that universe . We have decided that we want a 22 minute tv/web series that can bring you into the life of geeks. We just feel it fits us better.

Still sticking with the Horror theme, don’t worry horror fans….We aren’t abandoning you, we created a new show titled “NecroCOMICon”. The series takes place in a comic shop, dealing with normal issues plus of course, the outrageous. Leaving Mooch and Pigamortis in charge of the protection of the Necronomicon sounds like a great idea on paper….but, Jeb and Demonica will have their hands full keeping things safe. You just NEVER know who will be in to buy this week’s newest Comics or try to destroy the Universe.

NecroCOMIContv.com will debut in January and we will be doing reviews of comics and games, plus movies. There is a storyline in each episode, much like Late Night at the Horror Hotel offered, and we will be including some Classic Throwback Tv commercials into every show. Special guests are already in the works and we are hoping you will tune in.

This is all the details I can give right now………..I know, not very much, but we will be targeting Comic cons as well as Horror Cons…sound good? We think so too. In 2010 we put Late Night to bed and in 2011 we awaken NecroCOMICon TV....
